Guten Tag! I am Eva Steiner, an award-winning creative art director born and raised in Germany, shaped in SF and NYC, currently living and working in London. I am one half of Alex and Eva.

When I was 12, I starred in a German cooking show. I would love to post footage but they are all on VHS tapes, and we all know VHS is now the Myspace of video. Who knows where I could be right now if I pursued that career? Probably writing cookbooks about German cuisine — despite common belief, we do have more than just bratwurst and beer! 

I failed to turn my child-star career into a regular-star one. But by quitting show business, I had time to reconsider future plans. In 2007, I interned as an art director for the first time, and since then I have never gone back to the other side of the camera (besides this little incident). Now I prefer pointing the lens instead of having the lens pointing at me.

I still enjoy cooking though.
